How it works

Hyaluronic acid microdroplets hold water inside the skin

Skin boosters deliver small, evenly spaced microinjections of stabilised hyaluronic acid (HA) into the superficial to mid‑dermis. HA is a water‑binding molecule that can attract many times its weight in water. Once placed as a grid of micro‑depots, it acts like a reservoir, rehydrating the surrounding tissue and improving the skin’s elasticity and light reflection. This hydrated environment also supports fibroblast function, which can gradually improve the quality of collagen and elastin. At Evolution Aesthetics we perform Skin booster (biorevitalisation) Restylane, a NASHA‑based HA engineered for smooth spread and durable hydration. Some formulations include a small amount of lidocaine to enhance comfort. The technique and depth are adjusted to the area (face, neck, or hands), creating even coverage without adding bulk.

Treatment plan

Efficient course: 2–3 sessions, results for 6–9 months

Most clients benefit from a course of 2–3 sessions spaced 3–4 weeks apart. A subtle glow often appears within 3–7 days, with optimal hydration and texture improvement developing over 2–4 weeks after each visit. Results can last around 6–9 months, depending on skin condition, lifestyle, and area treated; a single maintenance session every 6–9 months helps keep the benefits. A typical appointment lasts 30–45 minutes, including numbing. Pre‑care: for 48–72 hours avoid alcohol and, if your doctor agrees, pause non‑essential blood‑thinners (aspirin/NSAIDs); arrive with clean skin and skip retinoids, acids, and waxing for 2–3 days. Aftercare: expect mild redness, swelling, or tiny bumps that settle within hours to a few days; avoid makeup for 12–24 hours, strenuous exercise, saunas, and hot baths for 24–48 hours; pause retinoids/acids for 3–5 days; protect the area from direct sun and use broad‑spectrum SPF daily. Avoid facials, peels, laser or microneedling on the treated area for about 2 weeks unless advised otherwise. Skin boosters can be combined in a wider plan with treatments like microneedling, gentle peels, or LED therapy to improve tone and texture while maintaining hydration.
