PRP Hair
Treatment (Plasma Therapy)

Appointment
PRP Hair Treatment uses a small sample of your own blood to concentrate platelets and growth factors, then places them into thinning areas of the scalp. At Evolution Aesthetics we use Eclipse PRP, a closed, sterile system that produces a clean, high-yield concentrate with very low red blood cell content. This helps deliver consistent results and reduces scalp irritation. The goal is to reduce shedding, thicken existing strands, and encourage dormant follicles to enter the growth phase. Sessions are quick, with minimal interruption to your day. Results build gradually over weeks and months for a fuller-looking head of hair.

Thicker hair with your own growth factors — clear, proven advantages

Targeted support for thinning zones
PRP is precisely placed into areas that need it most, focusing growth factors where follicles are weak.
Non-surgical approach, no incisions
All work is done with fine needles, so there are no cuts or stitches and you can get back to routine quickly.
Comfortable sessions with numbing
Topical anesthetic and gentle technique keep treatment well tolerated for most people.
Results that build and last through hair cycles
PRP signals follicles over time, helping to reduce shedding first and then improve density with maintenance.
Fast appointments, minimal downtime
Typical visits take around 45–60 minutes, and you can return to normal activity the same day.
Eclipse PRP consistency for stronger outcomes
The Eclipse system delivers a high platelet yield with low red cell content, giving a concentrated, clean plasma for the scalp.

Growth factors reawaken dormant follicles — how PRP works

PRP (Platelet-Rich Plasma) takes advantage of the signaling proteins stored inside your platelets. After we draw a small tube of blood, the Eclipse PRP system spins it in a closed, sterile tube with a separator gel. This process concentrates platelets and growth factors (such as PDGF, VEGF, IGF-1, FGF, and EGF) while minimizing red blood cells and other unwanted components. The resulting plasma is injected in small amounts across the thinning scalp using fine needles. Once delivered into the dermal layer around hair follicles, platelets activate and release growth factors that support blood vessel formation, reduce inflammatory signaling, extend the anagen (growth) phase, and improve the health of the dermal papilla cells that control hair production. In simple terms, PRP gives follicles a targeted boost, helping them shed less and grow stronger, thicker strands over time.

Contraindications

PRP is not suitable for everyone. We assess your health history and scalp condition to ensure the treatment is appropriate for you.
  • Active scalp infection, dermatitis, or open wounds in the treatment area
  • Platelet disorders, very low platelet count, or significant anemia
  • Current anticoagulant therapy or high-dose NSAID use (unless medically paused with doctor approval)
  • Uncontrolled diabetes or significant bleeding/clotting disorders
  • Active cancer or ongoing chemotherapy/radiation
  • Autoimmune scalp diseases in active flare (e.g., lichen planopilaris) or scarring alopecias where follicles are destroyed
  • Pregnancy or breastfeeding
  • Recent corticosteroid scalp injections (timing must be reviewed before booking)
  • Allergy to topical anesthetics used during the procedure

Visible changes in months, not years — your treatment plan

Most clients benefit from a series of 3–4 initial sessions spaced 4–6 weeks apart. Shedding often eases first (typically around weeks 4–8), followed by improved thickness and density over 3–6 months as hair cycles progress. Maintenance is recommended every 3–6 months to hold results, especially for ongoing genetic thinning. Each visit lasts about 45–60 minutes, including draw, processing, and injections. Before treatment: stay well hydrated for 24 hours, eat a light meal, avoid alcohol for 24 hours, and avoid anti-inflammatory medicines (e.g., ibuprofen, naproxen) for 3–5 days unless prescribed by your doctor; pause topical minoxidil on the day of treatment. After treatment: avoid washing the scalp for 12–24 hours, skip vigorous exercise, saunas, and hot yoga for 24 hours, avoid hair dye or harsh chemicals for 48–72 hours, and avoid anti-inflammatory medicines for 48–72 hours; you can shampoo gently the next day and restart minoxidil after 24–48 hours if you use it. Results vary based on cause and stage of hair loss; earlier intervention often shows stronger responses. We will tailor the plan to your scalp condition, hair goals, and maintenance preference.
