Longevity varies by area, product and metabolism: cheeks 12–18 months, chin 9–15 months, temples 9–12 months, neckline 6–9 months. Maintenance top‑ups are usually planned every 6–12 months to keep definition consistent. Session time is usually 30–60 minutes including consultation and mapping. Before your appointment: avoid alcohol for 24 hours; if your doctor agrees, pause non‑essential blood‑thinning supplements/medications (e.g., ibuprofen, aspirin, fish oil, vitamin E) for 48–72 hours; arrive with clean skin; postpone if you have any infection; schedule at least 2 weeks apart from dental work or vaccines. Aftercare for the first 24–48 hours: avoid heavy exercise, heat, saunas, and intense sun; do not massage unless instructed; keep makeup off for 12 hours; apply cool compresses in short intervals for swelling; sleep on your back and avoid pressure on treated areas. Mild redness, swelling or small lumps can occur and usually settle within a few days. If you notice severe pain, blanching of the skin or visual changes, contact the clinic urgently. Hyaluronidase is available if an adjustment is needed.
