What happens during Cell Detox?

We assess your skin and review medicines, recent treatments and sensitivities. The full HELEO4 protocol combines cleansing and gentle exfoliation with a professional active gel, followed by the selected LED programme. Protective eyewear is used during light exposure.

The face appointment usually takes around 30–45 minutes. Timing varies for the back and for an LED add-on. We confirm which option you are booking before treatment.

HELEO4 and LED: your questions

Are HELEO4 Cell Detox and LED the same?

LED describes the light step. The full HELEO4 Cell Detox appointment also includes skin preparation and professional skincare. We also offer an LED add-on. You can find these options together here, without choosing between two treatment pages.

Can I book treatment for my back?

Yes. Our service list includes a HELEO4 Cell Detox back treatment. Mention the back when booking so we allow for the area and appointment time.

Can HELEO4 be combined with other treatments?

Yes, when appropriate for your skin. In the video above, our Medical Director explains a plan combining Morpheus8, exosomes and HELEO4. The timing and aftercare depend on the full plan.

How many sessions will I need?

There is no single schedule for every option. We assess your skin and review its response during the course before recommending further appointments or maintenance.

HELEO4 LED equipment at Evolution Clinic

LED light and HELEO4 skincare

HELEO4 pairs professional skincare with a light-based treatment. Its Cell Detox products include a chlorella-based active complex; the manufacturer describes blue, red and yellow LED programmes.

LED and the applied products have different roles. The programme, skincare and exposure are selected together for your appointment. “Cell Detox” is the treatment name, not a promise to remove toxins from your whole body or cure a skin condition.

Suitability, preparation and aftercare

Before treatment

Tell us about photosensitivity, lupus, porphyria, light-triggered epilepsy, cancer treatment and all medicines or supplements. Mention any allergy to algae, chlorella or skincare ingredients. Do not stop prescribed medicines yourself.

Active infection, cold sores, open wounds, sunburn or an eczema flare need assessment before treatment. Tell us about pregnancy or breastfeeding and recent injectables, laser resurfacing or chemical peels; we may postpone the appointment or adjust the plan.

Possible reactions

LED can cause temporary redness, irritation or discomfort. Visible light can worsen pigmentation in some people, particularly those with darker skin tones. Eye protection matters. Tell the practitioner immediately if exposure feels uncomfortable.

Looking after your skin

Arrive without makeup and avoid tanning before your visit. Bring your skincare product list so we can give preparation and restart instructions for the selected protocol. Afterwards, use sun protection and moisturiser, and follow the advice for any combined treatment. Contact us about persistent irritation, a rash or new dark patches.

LED and cosmetic Cell Detox do not replace medical treatment for acne or rosacea. A dermatologist can assess persistent or worsening symptoms.
