Dermatological
Ultrasound Therapy of Face
Dermatological Ultrasound Therapy of the Face is a clinical ultrasound treatment that calms inflammation, speeds repair, and supports rejuvenation. We use Skinova PRO on the LDM MED device, which delivers rapidly alternating ultrasound waves that work at several skin depths at the same time. Sessions are comfortable, feel like a gentle massage, and take about 20 minutes. This method comes from plastic surgery aftercare and works both on its own and as a booster before or after other procedures. It helps with redness, acne-prone skin, rosacea symptoms, scars, and post‑procedure swelling. There is no downtime, so you can return to your day right away.
Calmer skin in minutes and stronger response to skincare and treatments
Needle‑free rejuvenation with no downtime
Ultrasound works through the skin without injections, so you can carry on with your plans right after the session.
Comfortable, massage‑like treatment
Most people describe LDM Skinova as warm and soothing, with no discomfort during or after.
20‑minute appointments
Face and neck can be treated in about 20 minutes, which makes it easy to fit into a busy schedule.
Works on all skin tones, even tanned
Ultrasound does not target pigment, so it can be performed year‑round and on recently tanned skin.
Calms redness and puffiness fast
Local dynamic micromassage helps fluid move and reduces visible swelling right after the session.
Boosts other procedures by up to 60%
By improving cell responsiveness, LDM Skinova can enhance and prolong results of injectables and hardware treatments.

Three synchronized ultrasound waves rebalance cell membranes and improve treatment response
We perform Dermatological Ultrasound LDM on the LDM Skinova device (Skinova PRO on the LDM MED platform). The technology is called Local Dynamic Micromassage (LDM): two to three ultrasound frequencies switch hundreds of times per second, creating micro‑pressure changes in tissue. This dynamic field acts on several levels of the skin at once, influencing water distribution, enzymes, and the extracellular matrix. As a result, it supports drainage of excess fluid, calms inflammation, and normalizes collagen metabolism. A key target is caveolin, a membrane protein concentrated in caveolae. When caveolin balance is off, cell receptors withdraw into the membrane, so cells react poorly to skincare, nutrients, and procedure signals. LDM Skinova helps rebalance caveolin and smooth the membrane environment, so receptors work better and cells respond more effectively. In plain words: skin becomes more receptive to creams, serums, biorevitalization, and hardware treatments (for example, SMAS, RF‑lifting, IPL). The handpiece moves over a thin layer of gel on clean skin; ultrasound is non‑ionizing and does not injure tissue.Contraindications
Ultrasound therapy is not suitable for everyone. Please review the list below and speak with our practitioner if any point applies to you.
- Pregnancy or breastfeeding.
- Implanted pacemaker or other electronic medical implants.
- Active cancer, or ongoing chemotherapy/radiation.
- Acute infection in the treatment area (including active herpes/cold sores).
- Fever, general illness, or uncontrolled chronic disease.
- Recent facial surgery or fresh sutures without surgeon’s approval.
- Open bleeding wounds or infected, weeping dermatitis in the area.
- Severe neurologic disorders prone to seizures.
- Do not apply directly over the thyroid zone.
- Patients under 20 years old require clinician assessment; we avoid growth plate areas.
Short 20‑minute sessions, course‑based results, and smart pairing with other treatments
Session length: face and neck typically take about 20 minutes. There is no downtime; makeup can be applied right after. As a standalone anti‑age program, plan for 8–10 sessions, twice per week. Results accumulate over the course and continue to improve for several weeks; maintenance is usually 1 session every 3–4 weeks. For acne and redness‑prone skin, we recommend at least 6 sessions (often twice per week at the start). In resistant or chronic cases, the first 1–2 sessions are aimed at restoring responsiveness to topicals/medications, then we proceed to active calming. For scars, plan 4–6 sessions; remodeling of scar tissue is gradual and may become visible 5–6 months after the course. For faster structural change in scars and stretch marks, we may combine with Morpheus8 RF microneedling. As a booster around other procedures (SMAS/HIFU, RF‑lifting, IPL phototherapy, biorevitalization, toxin), we typically schedule 2–3 focused sessions to hydrate tissues, reduce swelling, and enhance/prolong the main result. Pre‑care: arrive well‑hydrated; avoid strong acids, retinoids, scrubs, or aggressive home devices for 24 hours before; come with clean skin (no heavy occlusive creams). Post‑care: use gentle cleanser and hydrating serum, apply SPF 30+ daily; if your skin is reactive, skip saunas, very hot showers, and intense workouts for 24 hours; otherwise, you may resume normal skincare and makeup. Area limits on the face: we avoid the mobile eyelids and do not treat directly over the thyroid region of the neck. LDM Skinova can be performed year‑round, including on tanned or recently treated skin, as assessed by your practitioner. What goes well with Dermatological Ultrasound Therapy of Face?
- Hydrafacial for FaceCleans pores and removes buildup so ultrasound energy spreads evenly and serums absorb better. Schedule it 3–7 days before ultrasound to prep the skin.
- LED TherapyLight therapy calms post‑treatment redness and supports collagen activity triggered by ultrasound. Add it right after sessions or between visits to speed recovery.
- RF (Radio frequency) Face Skin TighteningRF adds focused thermal tightening to the collagen stimulation you get from ultrasound. Alternating the two can smooth fine lines faster and help results last longer.
- Hydrating Face Skin BoosterDeep hydration and hyaluronic support make skin more responsive to ultrasound and maintain elasticity. Plan it in the weeks around your ultrasound course for steadier results.
- Exosomes for FaceRegenerative exosomes enhance cellular repair initiated by ultrasound, improving texture and glow. Use as a topical finish or in a course alongside ultrasound for visible quality gains.
