LDM facial suitability depends on your skin, medical history and the actual ultrasound programme. A claim that it suits all sensitive skin without assessment is too broad.
What should I tell the practitioner?
Tell us about pregnancy, implanted devices, surgery, active infection and ongoing medical conditions. Bring information about recent peels, lasers, injections and prescribed skin treatment. We assess the relevant restrictions for the device and planned facial.
Describe any skin symptoms: when they started, what makes them worse and whether you have had a diagnosis. Dry-feeling skin and active inflammatory disease can require different next steps.
Can I have LDM during a flare?
Do not decide from a general description of the facial. An unexplained rash, worsening redness or active infection needs assessment before cosmetic treatment. Your practitioner may recommend a dermatology consultation or a change in timing.
Do not stop prescribed care so that you can try a facial. If you want to change a medical treatment plan, discuss that with the prescribing clinician.
What should treatment feel like?
The practitioner checks comfort while moving the handpiece. Tell them about pain, burning or an unusual sensation at once. Being non-invasive does not mean discomfort should be ignored or treated as evidence of effectiveness.
After the appointment, report persistent or worsening redness, irritation, pain or warmth. We review your skin rather than rely on a universal “no downtime” claim.
What aftercare is sensible?
Follow the instructions for your treatment and current skincare. Avoid adding several unfamiliar active products while you are checking the response. Ask before scheduling another treatment on the same area.
A timetable from a different ultrasound device or another clinic is not a substitute for your written plan. Even related technologies can have different treatment settings and purposes.
What if my skin problem does not improve?
A facial may not address the cause. We reassess the goal and discuss whether medical care or another approach is more appropriate. Continuing a course without review is not necessary simply because it has already been booked.
