Ombre
Lips

Ombre Lips is a semi-permanent makeup technique that gives your lips a soft, natural-looking gradient from the border toward the center. It evens out tone, gently defines the shape, and creates the illusion of fuller lips without filler. The result is smudge-proof colour that reduces the need for daily lipstick and touch-ups. Shades are mixed to match your skin tone and preference, from very subtle blush to a more defined tint. Most people need an initial session and a perfecting top-up for long-lasting results.

How it works

Gradient shading places micro‑pigment where it counts for a soft, fuller look

Ombre Lips uses a digital PMU device with sterile single-use cartridges to implant cosmetic pigment into the upper dermal/epidermal junction. After precise mapping of your natural vermilion border and symmetry checks, the artist creates a gradient by layering ultra‑fine dots (pixel shading). More coverage is placed toward the outer lip to refine the edge, while lighter passes are used toward the center to keep the middle bright, giving the illusion of volume. Topical anesthetic is applied to manage discomfort. We use high‑quality, stable cosmetic pigments designed for lips; the healed colour softens by roughly 30–50% compared to day‑one intensity. The technique avoids harsh lines and does not tattoo outside the natural lip border.

Soft gradient colour that lasts and cuts daily makeup time

Natural gradient that softens harsh lip lines
A feathered fade from the border inward keeps lips looking defined yet soft, not outlined.
Fuller-looking lips without filler
Shading builds depth at the edges and brightness in the center to create a 3D effect.
Long-lasting tint
Results typically last 1.5–3 years and fade gradually, reducing constant reapplication of lipstick.
Custom colour for your undertone
Pigments are blended to match your skin tone and desired intensity, from nude blush to richer tints.
Comfort-managed sessions
Topical numbing is used to reduce discomfort so most clients find the treatment very tolerable.
Saves time every morning
Wake up with an even lip colour and shape, cutting minutes from your routine every day.

Treatment plan

Two-step plan, reliable wear, simple pre‑care and aftercare

Most clients need 2 sessions: an initial Ombre Lips treatment followed by a perfecting top‑up at 6–8 weeks. The first session includes consultation, colour matching, mapping, and shading; expect around 2–3 hours. The top‑up fine‑tunes colour and symmetry and typically takes 60–90 minutes. Results usually last 1.5–3 years before a refresh is desired; fading depends on lifestyle, sun exposure, exfoliating products, and smoking. Pre‑care: hydrate well for a few days prior; avoid alcohol, caffeine, and intense exercise 24 hours before; avoid ibuprofen or aspirin (unless prescribed); if you are prone to cold sores, arrange a preventive antiviral with your GP and take as directed starting 1–2 days before. Aftercare for the first 7–10 days: keep lips clean and lightly moisturised with the provided balm; avoid picking or rubbing; avoid heavy sweating, steam rooms, pools, and saunas; keep water exposure brief; avoid spicy/salty foods contacting the lips; no makeup on the area until healed. Expect initial intensity to look stronger, then soften by 30–50% as flaking resolves in about a week. Once healed, use SPF on lips to help maintain colour. We also offer Lips Top up sessions and, if you wish to lighten old pigment, Lips tattoo removal on device Harmony XL PRO.
