Treatment plan
Short sessions, steady progress, and simple aftercare
Most clients need 3–5 sessions spaced 3–4 weeks apart for a clear change in fine lines and lip border definition. Each visit usually takes 15–25 minutes, including setup. You may see early smoothing after the first session, but collagen gains build across 8–12 weeks. Results typically last 6–12 months; many people choose a maintenance session 1–2 times a year.
Before your appointment: avoid strong sun exposure, tanning beds, and self-tanner on the area for 10–14 days; pause retinoids, AHA/BHA, and harsh scrubs for 3–5 days; avoid waxing/threading/depilatories on the upper lip for 3 days; arrive with clean skin and no lipstick or balm; if you get cold sores, ask about antiviral prophylaxis. Stay well hydrated.
After your appointment: expect mild redness or swelling for a few hours (up to 24–48 hours for some). Use a bland, fragrance-free balm on lips; cool compresses can be soothing. Avoid hot drinks, spicy foods, saunas, pools, and intense workouts for 24–48 hours. Skip exfoliants, retinoids, and strong acids for 5–7 days. Do not pick or scrub any dry patches. Use broad-spectrum SPF around the mouth daily and limit strong sun for a week. Avoid lipstick for the first 24 hours.
