Peeling
Deep Peeling is a medical-grade chemical peel that removes damaged layers of skin to reveal a smoother, more even surface. It helps with deep lines, acne scars, sun damage, and stubborn pigmentation. At Evolution Aesthetics, we offer two versions: Deep peeling of one body part and Medium peeling of one body part. The deeper option is usually a single, more intensive session with longer downtime, while the medium-depth peel is gentler and done in a short series. Both stimulate new collagen for months after treatment. Results are noticeable and continue to improve as your skin heals and rebuilds.

How it works: controlled chemical resurfacing that triggers new skin
Deep Peeling uses medical acids—commonly trichloroacetic acid (TCA), phenol, or layered systems like Jessner + TCA—to create a controlled injury in the skin. This process causes keratocoagulation (protein denaturation) in the epidermis and upper to mid-dermis, which removes damaged cells and stimulates a wound-healing cascade. Fibroblasts are activated to produce new collagen and elastin, improving texture, wrinkles, and scars. The clinician adjusts concentration, number of passes, occlusion, and contact time to control peel depth. Visual endpoints such as frosting guide the process, and neutralisation or occlusion is used according to the chosen formula. Medium-depth peels typically reach the papillary dermis, while deeper protocols approach the upper reticular dermis for stronger remodeling.

We offer two options: Deep peeling of one body part and Medium peeling of one body part. Deep peeling is usually a single, comprehensive treatment with 7–14 days of visible downtime and ongoing improvements for 3–6 months; results can last years with good care and daily SPF. Medium peeling is typically done in 2–4 sessions spaced 4–6 weeks apart, with 3–7 days of peeling after each session; maintenance once or twice a year helps keep results. A session generally takes 30–60 minutes per area. Before treatment, avoid retinoids, exfoliating acids, waxing, and hair removal devices for 5–7 days; limit sun exposure for 2 weeks; and tell us about cold sore history (antiviral prophylaxis may be recommended). After treatment, follow a gentle skincare routine (bland cleanser, barrier cream), do not pick or peel flaking skin, avoid heat, saunas, swimming, and strenuous exercise for 48–72 hours, and wear broad-spectrum SPF 50 daily. Expect redness, tightness, frosting (during the procedure), and then darkening and peeling; we will guide you on what to use each day and when you can return to makeup.

Contraindications
A careful consultation is required before scheduling Deep Peeling. Some conditions and medications increase risks of pigmentation changes, delayed healing, or infection and mean we may delay treatment or suggest alternatives.
- Pregnancy or breastfeeding
- Active skin infection, cold sore (HSV), or open wounds at the treatment area
- Use of isotretinoin (Accutane) within the last 6–12 months
- History of keloids or hypertrophic scarring
- Recent tanning, sunburn, or inability to avoid strong sun exposure during healing
- Uncontrolled diabetes or conditions that impair wound healing
- Autoimmune skin disease under active flare (e.g., lupus) in the treatment area
- Use of photosensitising or anticoagulant medications without medical clearance
- Fitzpatrick V–VI for deep phenol peels (individual assessment required; alternative plans may be advised)
- Known allergy to peel components (e.g., resorcinol, phenol, aspirin/salicylates)
