Laboratory Tests
Medical Laboratory Tests at Evolution Aesthetics Clinic give you reliable answers with minimal fuss. We collect blood, urine, swabs, saliva, or stool and run them through certified partner laboratories. You can choose any medical test you need, as a single (mono) test or as a bundled profile. Turnaround is fast, reports are clear, and a clinician can explain what the numbers mean. We also provide practical prep guidance so your results are dependable. From routine check-ups to targeted panels, everything is handled with care and confidentiality.

Certified labs, automated analyzers, and clear sampling steps
Your visit starts with a brief check of your details and the test list—either a single (mono) test or a chosen profile. Samples (blood, urine, swabs, saliva, stool) are barcoded and prepared for analysis. Blood is centrifuged when needed and processed on automated chemistry analyzers for liver, kidney, and lipid markers; hematology counters for full blood counts and anemia indices; and coagulation analyzers for PT, aPTT, and INR. Hormones and antibodies (for example, thyroid markers and TORCH IgG) are typically measured by immunoassays such as ELISA or chemiluminescence. Many infection screens, including STD panels, use PCR/NAAT to detect pathogen DNA/RNA. Internal controls, calibration curves, and interference checks (hemolysis, lipemia) are applied before a biomedical scientist verifies your report. In our clinic you can do any medical test, mono type or profile type. Profile options include: Anemia Profile; Coagulation Profile; Diabetes Profile; Kidney/Renal Profile; Lipid Profile; Liver Function Profile; STD Standard Panel; STD Extended Panel; STD Comprehensive Panel; Thyroid Antibody Profile; Thyroid Profile (free T3 T4); Thyroid Profile (Total); TORCH Profile IgG.Contraindications
Most people can have lab tests without issues. In some situations sampling should be delayed or adjusted. Tell us about your medications, allergies, and recent health events so we can plan the best approach.
- Bleeding disorders, very low platelets, or use of strong anticoagulants (e.g., warfarin) — venipuncture may require special handling.
- Severe dehydration or a tendency to faint during blood draws — consider extra hydration and rest before sampling.
- Recent heavy exercise, alcohol, or a fatty meal when a fasting sample is required (usually 8–12 hours).
- Current antibiotics can affect urine/stool cultures — cultures are best taken 48–72 hours after the last dose if feasible.
- Menstruation may alter some urine results — non-urgent urine tests can be rescheduled.
- Recent vaccination or acute illness can temporarily change some markers — discuss timing for baseline tests.
- Allergy to latex or adhesive dressings — alternatives are available; please inform staff.
- Pregnancy or planning pregnancy — important for test selection and interpretation; please inform your clinician.
- For swab tests, avoid urinating 1–2 hours before a urethral/urine sample and avoid intravaginal products 24 hours before a vaginal swab.
Clear prep rules, quick visit, and results reviewed with a clinician
Booking: choose any medical test you need, either as a single (mono) test or as a profile. Our team can advise on the right panel for your goals (check-up, symptoms, or follow-up). Preparation: for lipid, glucose, and some hormone or metabolic tests, fast for 8–12 hours; drink water as usual. Avoid alcohol for 24 hours and heavy exercise the day before blood sampling. Keep regular medications unless your clinician says otherwise. For urine NAAT or cultures, avoid urinating 1–2 hours before sampling; for stool tests, use the provided sterile kit and follow the leaflet. Visit length: check-in plus sampling usually takes 10–20 minutes. Turnaround: many routine biochemistry and hematology tests are same-day or next-day; thyroid and antibody tests are often 1–2 days; PCR-based STD panels and TORCH IgG typically take 1–3 days; coagulation tests are often same-day. Aftercare: keep the bandage on for 30–60 minutes; gentle pressure helps prevent bruising. There are no sun restrictions or downtime. Results: you receive a digital report, and you can book a clinician review to interpret results and plan next steps. How often to test depends on the goal — for example, lipids every 6–12 months, HbA1c every 3–6 months if monitoring glucose, and thyroid markers as advised. Relevant services patients often book together include: GP consultation, ultrasound scan, IV vitamin therapy, women’s wellness check, and men’s wellness check. What goes well with Medical Laboratory Tests?
- Body Composition Test with GP DoctorPair your lab results with a Body Composition Test to connect numbers like glucose, lipids, and thyroid markers with fat, muscle, and water status. The GP turns both data sets into a clear plan for weight, energy, and training.
- Food Intolerance TestCombine lab markers of inflammation and gut health with a Food Intolerance Test to spot foods that may trigger bloating, skin flare-ups, or fatigue. This helps build a practical diet that supports digestion, clear skin, and stable energy.
- Specialist Dermatologist Consultation with 3D Skin TestBring your labs to a dermatologist visit to link hormones, iron, and vitamin levels with breakouts, redness, or dryness. The 3D Skin Test plus labs leads to a targeted routine and treatment plan instead of guesswork.
- IV Drips TreatmentIf labs show vitamin or mineral gaps, an IV drip can be tailored to match your needs. Follow-up testing helps track changes and fine-tune the formula.
- Prevent-Age Gynecologist ConsultationTurn hormone, iron, and vitamin D lab results into clear next steps with a gynecologist. The doctor can guide cycle balance, perimenopause support, and daily habits based on your numbers.
