Before you leave
We explain how to clean and protect the area, which products to use and when to contact us. Instructions may differ with the tattoo's size, location and the skin response. Make sure you understand any dressing care before going home.
Tell us if clothing, work or exercise is likely to rub the area. We can discuss practical protection rather than leave you to improvise when the skin is tender.
Do not pick or accelerate the process
Redness, swelling and some blistering can occur. Picking a crust or opening a blister does not help the laser remove ink. It can damage healing skin. Contact us if you are unsure how to care for a change you see.

Keep sunlight out of the plan
A healing tattoo-removal area needs protection from sun. Tell us about outdoor work or a planned holiday before booking. Covering and caring for the treated area is part of treatment, not an optional step once the redness settles.
Do not apply self-tanner to hide a temporary colour difference. Ask us how to manage the area until it has healed and can be assessed clearly.
When should I call?
Contact us promptly if pain increases, redness spreads, there is discharge or you are worried about infection. Also report an unexpected colour change. The FDA identifies infection, scarring and pigment changes among possible complications.
Your next session should follow an assessment of healing and response. An unhealed or unexplained reaction is a reason for review, not a reason to continue on the original date regardless.
