Dullness and uneven texture
DMK Enzyme Therapy combines skin preparation, a firm-setting enzyme masque and finishing skincare. The aim is a smoother feel and a fresher-looking complexion, without needles.
At Evolution Clinic in Jumeira, we examine your skin before choosing the preparation. Dryness, congestion and sensitivity need different approaches. We explain what a facial can improve and when a skin concern needs medical care.
key facts
Tell us what bothers you most about your skin. We match the treatment steps to that concern.

We review your skincare, allergies and recent treatments, then cleanse and prepare your skin. We agree any exfoliation or extraction before starting.
The enzyme masque is brushed on and left to set firmly. You may notice tightness or pulsing; you do not need to tolerate pain.
We remove the masque, apply finishing skincare and explain your home routine. Your appointment includes preparation and finishing time as well as the masque stage.
Questions
Your skin may feel smoother and look fresher after the initial redness settles. The response depends on your starting point and the treatment steps used. An enzyme facial does not guarantee acne clearance, removal of pigmentation or a lasting lift.
No. Enzyme Therapy centres on the firm-setting DMK masque. Deep cleansing focuses on blocked pores and may include manual extraction using DMK skincare. We offer them as separate treatments; tell us whether your priority is texture, dullness or congestion.
It can feel very tight as it sets, and some people notice pulsing. Tell us straight away if it burns, hurts or makes you feel distressed. Pain is not a goal of the treatment, and we can stop to assess your skin.
You may feel ready to return to your usual day, but visible flushing, dryness or irritation can occur. Extra exfoliation or extraction can change recovery. We explain the likely response to your planned treatment; avoid relying on a completely clear complexion immediately afterwards.
Contact us before attending if your skin is sunburned, broken, infected or very irritated. Tell us about ingredient allergies, medicines, recent treatments, pregnancy or breastfeeding. We check the products and preparation individually rather than assuming every facial is suitable.
There is no fixed course for everyone. We agree a specific goal, then review your skin after treatment before recommending more sessions. Persistent acne, redness or pigmentation may need a dermatologist and a different treatment plan.
Our team reviews your skin and treatment history before your facial. The profiles below come from the specialists assigned to this treatment.

Meet SvetlanaTell us whether dullness, dryness or blocked pores bother you most. We can help you choose an appointment at Evolution Clinic in Jumeira.
Dullness and roughness can have several causes. Surface build-up, dryness and irritation do not need the same preparation. We examine your skin and explain which steps are appropriate before applying products. The useful outcome is a change in the concern you came with, not simply how tight the masque feels.
A smoother feel or a brighter appearance may follow a facial. The size and duration of any improvement vary. A first appointment cannot establish how your skin will respond to a course, and a temporary glow is not evidence that a long-standing condition has resolved.
DMK calls the temporary branching pattern of visible redness after its masque the “plasmatic effect”. This manufacturer term describes an immediate response. It is not a measurement of lasting improvement, and stronger redness is not a treatment goal.
We assess your skin once the initial response has settled. Tell us if redness is painful, spreading or worsening rather than assuming every change is expected.
A facial may form part of a skincare plan, but it does not replace diagnosis. Painful breakouts, persistent facial redness and unexplained dark patches need assessment. Acne scars and deeper lines require their own discussion; we do not promise to remove them with an enzyme masque.
DMK is a skincare brand as well as the name used for its Enzyme Therapy treatment. A facial using DMK cleansers or finishing products is not automatically the full enzyme protocol. Enzyme Therapy includes the distinctive setting masque; deep cleansing with manual extraction focuses on pore congestion.
If blackheads are your main concern, we assess whether extraction is appropriate. If dullness or rough texture bothers you, we look at skin condition and sensitivity before choosing preparation. Neither treatment should be used over an active infection or a significant irritation flare.
The defining enzyme masque is different from an acid peel. Some DMK treatment plans also include exfoliating preparation, so the treatment name alone does not tell you how much exfoliation you will receive. We explain the selected steps and recovery before you decide.
Tell us about a recent peel, laser treatment, microneedling or injections. Skin that is still recovering may need more time before another facial. For painful acne or persistent redness, start with a dermatologist consultation.
Bring a list or photographs of your skincare products and medicines. Include products you use only occasionally, such as exfoliating masks. Tell us about previous reactions and the dates of recent skin treatments. We give individual instructions about preparation and restarting products; do not stop prescribed treatment without your prescriber’s advice.
If your skin becomes sunburned or irritated before the appointment, contact us before coming in. Tell us about any important event so we can discuss timing without promising an immediate event-ready result.
Follow the first-cleanse timing in your written aftercare. When cleansing resumes, use lukewarm water and a gentle cleanser with your fingertips. Pat dry instead of rubbing. Avoid scrubs, cleansing brushes and picking at any flaking skin.
Use the moisturiser and sun protection agreed for your skin. Do not add several new products at once: if irritation follows, it becomes harder to identify the cause. Extra exfoliation or extraction can change the instructions, including when to resume makeup, exercise and your usual skincare.
Notice whether the concern you wanted to improve has changed after any redness settles. Contact us about unexpected symptoms before arranging another session. We review both your response and your home routine; repeated facials should not delay medical care for a persistent skin problem.
Evolution Aesthetics Clinic holds DHA Polyclinic License 6000514. We use authentic treatment supplies from official, authorized suppliers. Before your facial, we review your skin, allergies and treatment history, explain the planned steps and risks, and provide written aftercare.
A botanical or enzyme product can still irritate skin or cause an allergic reaction. Tell us about food and cosmetic allergies so we can check the actual formulations. Pregnancy, breastfeeding, medicines and recent treatments can affect the choice of products or timing.
Temporary flushing, tightness, dryness or irritation can occur. Do not scrub dry areas or add stronger products to try to correct the response. New spots are not proof that the treatment is working. Contact us if symptoms persist, become painful or worsen; a rash or a flare may need medical assessment.
Get prompt medical advice for severe pain, blistering, rapidly worsening redness or significant swelling. Sudden swelling of the lips, tongue or throat, difficulty breathing or fainting needs emergency medical help. Do not wait for a routine clinic reply.
Questions
Dryness or tightness can follow the treatment, particularly when exfoliation is included. Keep to your agreed gentle routine and avoid scrubbing. Contact us if the feeling persists, worsens or comes with burning, pain or a rash; do not assume more exfoliation will help.
No. New spots can have several causes, including irritation or a reaction to a product. Do not squeeze them or automatically book another treatment to clear them. Let us review the change, especially if the spots are painful, spreading or accompanied by a rash.
The answer depends on your skin response and whether your facial included extraction or additional exfoliation. We give the timing for your treatment in written aftercare. If skin remains hot, sore or irritated, contact us before resuming activities or products that worsen it.
Bring your current routine so we can review it. DMK’s approach combines professional treatment with home care, but the products must suit your skin and any medical treatment you use. We explain each recommendation and its purpose rather than asking you to change several products without a plan.
