Body SMAS
Lifting (HiFu)

Body SMAS Lifting (HiFu) uses focused ultrasound energy to lift and tighten loose skin on the body without cuts or needles. At Evolution Aesthetics we perform it on the Ultraformer device for consistent results and comfortable sessions. You can book a single normal area (Shoulders, Knees, Armpits, Upper arms) or a large area (Abdomen, Breast, Buttocks, Upper legs, Armpits, Inner thighs). The treatment targets the SMAS and deep dermis to trigger collagen remodeling, so firmness builds gradually over weeks. It works on all skin tones and can be done any time of the year. Most people notice a subtle immediate lift with continued improvement over 2–3 months.
Lift loose skin without surgery: key benefits of Body HiFu
Targets the SMAS layer for a real lift
Focused ultrasound reaches the same fibrous layer that surgeons address, improving firmness and contour.
Non-surgical tightening, no needles
No incisions or injections, so you can return to normal routines quickly.
Results that build and last
Collagen remodeling continues for months, with effects commonly maintained 12–18 months.
Few sessions needed
Most plans need 1–3 sessions spaced apart, not weekly visits.
Comfortable treatment
Modern protocols and contact cooling keep discomfort manageable; numbing can be used if needed.
Sun-friendly and suitable for all skin tones
Ultrasound is not light-based, so it works year-round and on any skin type.
Focused ultrasound reaches deep collagen and the SMAS for lifting
High-Intensity Focused Ultrasound (HiFu) concentrates sound energy into tiny points beneath the skin. Each pulse creates a micro-thermal coagulation point at precise depths (commonly 3.0–13.0 mm on the body, including the 4.5 mm SMAS level). These points cause immediate collagen fiber contraction and start a wound-healing response called neocollagenesis. Over the next 8–12 weeks, new collagen and elastin thicken and tighten the tissue, improving laxity and contour. Our Ultraformer system allows us to select cartridges for different depths and areas, so we can treat normal areas (Shoulders, Knees, Armpits, Upper arms) and large areas (Abdomen, Breast, Buttocks, Upper legs, Armpits, Inner thighs) with tailored energy lines and coverage. Because the energy is focused below the surface, the upper skin remains intact while deeper structures are remodeled.Contraindications
HiFu is not suitable for everyone. Please share your full medical history with the practitioner during consultation. We may adjust or postpone treatment based on the findings below.
- Pregnancy or breastfeeding
- Active infection, rash, eczema, psoriasis, or open wounds in the treatment area
- Cardiac pacemaker or implanted electronic devices; metal implants directly in the treatment zone
- Active cancer or ongoing oncology treatment
- Bleeding disorders or current use of strong anticoagulants (unless cleared by your doctor)
- Uncontrolled diabetes or significant neuropathy with reduced sensation in the area
- Autoimmune disease in an active flare
- History of keloid scarring or poor wound healing
- Recent surgery, fillers, or threads in the planned treatment area (within the last 3–6 months)
- Untreated hernia in the abdomen or groin near the treatment zone

Few sessions, long hold: a practical plan for real tightening
Most clients need 1–3 Body SMAS Lifting (HiFu) sessions spaced 8–12 weeks apart for a strong visible lift. A normal area (Shoulders, Knees, Armpits, Upper arms) typically takes about 30–45 minutes; a large area (Abdomen, Breast, Buttocks, Upper legs, Armpits, Inner thighs) takes 45–90 minutes depending on coverage and energy lines. You may notice a subtle immediate tightening from collagen contraction, with the main improvement building gradually over 2–3 months. Results commonly last 12–18 months, after which a maintenance session can help preserve firmness. Before your session: arrive well hydrated, avoid strong exfoliants on the area for 3 days, and if your doctor agrees, avoid anti-inflammatory painkillers for 24–48 hours so the natural healing response can work efficiently. After your session: expect temporary redness, tenderness, or slight swelling; avoid hot baths, sauna, and intense workouts for 24–48 hours; do not aggressively massage the treated zone for one week; keep hydrated and maintain a balanced protein intake. There are no strict sun restrictions because the treatment is not light-based, but use SPF on exposed areas as a healthy habit. What goes well with Body SMAS Lifting (HiFu)?
- RF Microneedling for BodyHiFu targets deeper layers for lift. RF microneedling works in the skin itself to tighten crepey areas, smooth stretch marks, and improve texture. Using both treats several depths, so skin looks firmer and more even. Plan RF microneedling about 4–6 weeks after HiFu on the same area.
- Cryolipolysis Fat Reduction (Fat Freeze)If small fat pockets blunt your shape, fat freeze can reduce volume while HiFu improves tissue tightness. This pairing refines contours on zones like abdomen, flanks, arms, or inner thighs. Do the treatments in the same area at least 4–6 weeks apart for balanced results.
- Pressotherapy of BodyGentle compression helps lymphatic flow after energy treatments. It can reduce temporary swelling, ease heaviness, and make results show a bit quicker. Start 2–3 days after HiFu and repeat 1–2 times per week for a few sessions.
- Muscles Body ToningStronger muscles support tighter skin and make the lift look more defined. A short course builds tone under the treated area, improving posture and shape. Try 2–3 sessions per week for 4–6 weeks, starting about a week after HiFu.
- Radiofrequency Body Skin TighteningHiFu works deep; RF smooths the upper skin layer to reduce mild laxity and rippling. Alternating RF with HiFu lets you treat different layers without overloading one visit. Useful for arms, abdomen, thighs, or knees. Leave 2–4 weeks between sessions on the same area.
