The early appearance can be misleading
Redness, swelling, bruising or altered sensation may affect how the area looks and feels after treatment. Give us an accurate account of recovery rather than judging success from a photograph taken the same day.
Cryolipolysis uses controlled cooling to target a fat bulge. The body clears affected fat cells over time; the FDA describes a period of approximately two to three months. This is a general timeline, not a guarantee of a particular reduction by a deadline.
How to compare your result
Compare the same area with consistent posture, camera position and lighting. Changes in clothing, twisting or holding the abdomen differently can exaggerate a difference. A planned review is more useful than checking the mirror many times each day.
Tell us what outcome matters to you, such as how a defined bulge sits under clothing. Fat freezing is not intended to produce overall weight loss. A change in body weight during follow-up can also complicate interpretation of local photographs.

Do I need another session?
We assess the response before recommending more treatment. The manufacturer describes changes developing over weeks to months, but that does not mean everyone needs the same course or that one session always gives the desired result.
If a bulge remains, the next step depends on what tissue is present, your skin and your goals. Repeating the appointment is not automatically the best answer.
Enlargement is a reason for review
A new, firm enlargement of the treated area must not be dismissed as proof that the process is still working. Paradoxical adipose hyperplasia is a recognized complication in which fat grows rather than reduces. It can appear months later and may need surgery.
Read fat-freezing risks, and contact us if a treated area becomes unusually firm or larger, or if pain or skin injury persists.
