A lower scale reading after sweating is not proof of body-fat loss. We offer Iyashi Dome for a heat and wellbeing experience, not as a replacement for weight management or a guaranteed way to remove fat.
What changes when you sweat?
Sweating uses body fluid. Replacing that fluid is part of recovery, not something that cancels a successful treatment. The US National Institute of Diabetes and Digestive and Kidney Diseases advises replacing fluids lost through sweat.
That is why a before-and-after weigh-in immediately around a heat session can be misleading. It does not establish a lasting change in fat tissue. We do not use litres of sweat or a calorie-equivalent claim as the reason to recommend Iyashi Dome.
Three goals that need different discussions
Relaxation: You may want a quiet, supervised heat session and time away from your usual routine. We assess whether Iyashi Dome is suitable for that purpose.
Weight management: This concerns overall weight, health, daily habits and sometimes medical treatment. A sauna appointment is not a complete plan for it.
A localized fat bulge: This needs assessment of the tissue and your expectations. Even a treatment intended to reduce a small fat bulge is not necessarily a weight-loss treatment. The FDA distinguishes body contouring from weight loss.
Is more sweating more effective?
No sweat target can tell you that you have achieved a healthy or lasting change in body composition. Staying in heat despite dizziness, nausea or weakness can be unsafe. Tell the team immediately if you feel unwell.
Hydration advice also needs context. If you have a heart, kidney or blood-pressure condition, or have been told to restrict fluids, tell us before booking. We do not ask you to override that advice to complete a wellness session.
What we explain at Evolution Clinic
We discuss the goal before recommending the appointment. We keep the difference between sweating and fat loss clear.
See Iyashi Dome for service details. If your concern is a specific fat pocket, Clatuu fat freezing describes a different treatment with its own important risks and suitability requirements.
