Medium Depth
Peel of Face

A medium depth chemical peel is a clinic treatment that renews the upper layers of the skin to smooth texture and fade uneven tone. It uses medical acids in a controlled way to reach the right depth, so you get a strong result without needles or devices. This peel suits people with fine lines, acne marks, enlarged pores, and sun damage who want visible change in about a week. We choose the formula and the number of layers based on your skin and goals. Expect a few days of peeling and some redness as fresh skin appears. With good skincare and sunscreen, results can last for months.
Smoother skin, more even tone, and real change in one peel
One-peel improvement you can see
Most clients notice smoother skin and fewer dark spots and fine lines once peeling finishes around day 7–10.
Multi-concern correction in a single session
Helps soften lines, lessen acne marks, refine pores, and brighten sun damage all at once.
Results that outlast light peels
Medium depth peels trigger collagen remodeling, so improvements can last for months with good home care.
Predictable downtime you can schedule
Plan for 3–7 days of visible peeling and up to a week of mild redness—clear, expected recovery steps.
Comfortable and quick visit
You may feel heat or stinging for a few minutes; the whole session typically takes about 30–45 minutes.
No needles or devices
A chemical solution does the work—no injections, no energy devices, just precise application and layering.

Controlled dermal renewal for lines, pigment and texture
A medium depth facial peel uses a calibrated blend of acids—most commonly trichloroacetic acid (TCA) in the 20–35% range, often layered with a Jessner solution—to reach the upper dermis in a controlled way. The solution causes keratocoagulation (you may see “frosting”), which marks the treatment endpoint and depth. This controlled micro-injury sheds aged, sun-damaged epidermis and stimulates a wound-healing cascade in the papillary dermis. Fibroblasts increase collagen and elastin production, which helps soften fine lines, acne scarring and coarse texture. Pigmented keratinocytes are lifted out with the peeling process, reducing sun spots and uneven tone. We adjust the number of layers, contact time, and pre-conditioning (e.g., retinoids or pigment blockers) to fit your skin type and goals, aiming for even penetration and steady, predictable downtime.Contraindications
Some conditions mean this peel is not suitable now or needs a different plan. Please share your medical history and current skincare during consultation.
- Active skin infection, cold sores, or open wounds in the treatment area
- Recent isotretinoin use (within the past 6–12 months)
- Pregnancy or breastfeeding
- History of abnormal scarring or keloids
- Recent sunburn or heavy tan; inability to avoid sun during healing
- Inflamed eczema, psoriasis, or dermatitis flare in treatment area
- Allergy to peeling agents (e.g., salicylates for Jessner solutions)
- Uncontrolled diabetes or significant immune disorders
- Use of topical retinoids, AHAs/BHAs, or exfoliants in the last 3–5 days (delay is advised)
- Tendency to post‑inflammatory hyperpigmentation without willingness to pre-treat and follow strict sun protection

Visible change after one session; results build over 2–3 treatments
Most people need 1–3 medium depth peels spaced 6–8 weeks apart to reach their goal. Many see meaningful improvement after the first peel, with added smoothing and brightening after the second. Results typically last several months, and longer if you use daily SPF, a gentle cleanser, moisturizer, and targeted actives recommended by your practitioner. A session usually takes 30–45 minutes including prep, cleansing, degreasing, peel application, and soothing care. Before your peel: for 5–7 days avoid retinoids, scrubs, waxing, and hair removal creams; limit sun exposure for 2 weeks; and use a broad‑spectrum SPF 30–50 daily. If you get cold sores, tell us—we may suggest antiviral tablets starting the day before. Arrive with clean skin and pause active acne or pigment products unless we advise otherwise. After your peel: expect tightness and browning by day 2–3, then sheet-like peeling from days 3–7. Do not pick or pull flakes. Cleanse gently, moisturize often, and reapply SPF 30–50 every 2 hours when outdoors. Avoid direct sun, heat, saunas, and heavy workouts for 3–5 days. Pause retinoids, AHAs/BHAs, vitamin C, and prescription topicals for 7–14 days or until skin is fully healed. Makeup can be used once the surface is intact, usually after day 3–4, with clean tools only. What goes well with Medium Depth Peel of Face?
- Specialist Dermatologist Consultation with 3D Skin TestStart with a dermatologist visit and 3D skin test to map pigmentation, pores, and sensitivity. This helps choose the right peel strength and set up pre‑ and post‑care. A tailored plan improves evenness of the peel and supports smoother recovery.
- Hydrafacial for Face or BackDo Hydrafacial 1–2 weeks before your peel to clear pores and remove surface buildup so the peel penetrates more evenly. After the skin fully heals, a gentle Hydrafacial maintains clarity and glow without harsh scrubbing.
- LED TherapyLED Therapy in the first days after the peel calms redness and supports repair with low‑heat light. Regular sessions during recovery can improve comfort and help you get back to routine faster.
- Pigmentation Barrier Skin BoosterThis booster strengthens the skin barrier and helps limit post‑peel discoloration. It stabilizes tone and supports hydration, which is key while the skin renews after a medium depth peel.
- Exosomes for FaceSchedule exosomes once the skin has closed (about day 7–14). They support cell‑to‑cell communication for repair, helping reduce dryness and improve texture for a more even result from your peel.
